What Is This Season About?
Season 5 takes place in fall 1987.
Remember the end of Season 4? The Rifts opened. This caused a lot of damage to Hawkins.

The biggest problem? They need to find Vecna and stop him forever.
Who is Vecna?
Vecna is the main bad guy. He is very powerful. He wants to hurt Hawkins and control everything.
But Vecna has disappeared! Where did he go? Nobody knows!
The government puts Hawkins under military quarantine. This means soldiers come to control the town. Nobody can leave easily.
Poor Eleven must hide again. People might find out about her powers.
